F. Hinds, a long-established family-owned British jeweller, commissioned PSK Architect to create a flagship store in a prominent Grade II listed building on Cheltenham’s High Street. The scheme includes a modern, accessible ground-floor retail space and two apartments on the upper floors, balancing contemporary functionality with respect for the building’s historic character.

The Brief and Design Approach

The client required a design that would both elevate the brand’s presence and sensitively integrate with the heritage of the listed building. Key challenges included preserving architectural features, complying with listed building regulations, and maximising natural light and retail space within a constrained footprint.
